A soft, sudden rain moved in this evening, catching the sunset and turning it into a watercolor show for nearly half an hour. These are three of the best.

synchronicity for sam
Because sometimes, all you need in order to say "We're really good together, and we think so much alike, and sometimes it seems like I know you and what will make you laugh inside and out -- even as much as a month before we start talking about it and it turns out not only am I exactly right, but I'm so right that it's uncanny and so I sit on it for long enough to surprise you with it and I love you veryvery much..."

cloud city
Also from New York, in February of 2007:
This one I just knew would come out great as soon as I saw the opportunity -- one shot, click, and I was done. Those clouds and sky were probably the only blue skies in New York for the entirety of my trip -- it was cold and miserable every other day (including snowing and sleeting for a good portion), and as the picture shows, the grey was already rolling in even during day one.

starting out
Perhaps rather than bother linking them all over my LJ, I'll just put all my photos (or at least the ones I think are worth seeing) here. Other artists have done the same, and it seems to work for them. Am I considering myself an artist now? That's presumptuous.
Anyway, this is the first picture I wanted to post. A random couple sitting on a rock in Central Park in New York. It took a long time to frame this shot just right, and I'm very grateful I was far enough away that they didn't notice me taking picture after picture of them. What can I say -- I have a soft spot for couples and trees, and I really liked the way it was growing both between and over them.
